Daily routine in Violet Daycare \u2013 firstly, every day is different at our daycare. We have a flexible approach where we respond to the interests of our children and incorporate a wide range of activities to stimulate and engage everyone. We have a structured schedule that allows creativity within it. Below are the daily routines that are part of nursery life.<\/p>\n

7 AM \u2013 7 55 AM<\/strong> \u2013 Arrival and child-initiated play. Selection of games, colouring, and role-play activities available to engage the young mind.<\/p>\n

8 00 AM<\/strong>\u2013 storytime<\/p>\n

8 30 AM<\/strong> \u2013 Breakfast.<\/p>\n

9.00 AM<\/strong> \u2013 circle time. We share our ideas and experiences. Sing nursery rhymes, cover days of the week, weather, topics of interest.<\/p>\n

9.15 AM \u2013 10 AM<\/strong> \u2013 Music or dance lesson with an external teacher (2 times a week) or guided play<\/p>\n

10.15 AM<\/strong> \u2013 snack<\/p>\n

10.30 AM<\/strong> \u2013 indoor\/outdoor child chosen to play. Children are encouraged to free flow between the various activities available, choosing those they like or to try something new.<\/p>\n

10.30 AM<\/strong> \u2013 Preschool session. Maths and literacy focus. We aim to teach every child to write their name, recognize letters, numbers and shapes before they start school.<\/p>\n

11.30 AM<\/strong> \u2013 Carpet session (Mon and Wed Literacy focus, Tue and Thu \u2013 Maths, Fr \u2013 Phonics).<\/p>\n

12 PM<\/strong> \u2013 Lunch<\/p>\n

2.30 PM<\/strong> \u2013 nap time ( for those children who need an afternoon nap). Non-sleeping children will be offered a range of activities indoors and outdoors.<\/p>\n

2 45 PM<\/strong> \u2013 Snack<\/p>\n

3.00 PM<\/strong> \u2013 indoor\/outdoor play<\/p>\n

4 PM<\/strong> \u2013 Dinner<\/p>\n

4 20 PM<\/strong> \u2013 Storytime<\/p>\n

4.40 PM<\/strong> \u2013 planned afternoon activity ( Focus on personal, social, emotional development and Understanding the world)<\/p>\n

5.00 PM \u2013 6.20 PM<\/strong> \u2013 Indoor\/Outdoor child chosen to play with a range of stimulating, attractive, fun activities on offer.<\/p>\n
